I’m in two mother-daughter book clubs with each of my daughters, Madeleine and Catherine. For each of these clubs, we read young adult and adult books. I also review books separately for this blog and my Web site, www.MotherDaughterBookClub.com. And because I can’t get enough of book clubs, or reading, I’m also in an adult discussion group with my husband, Randy. We tend to read non-fiction, with an occasional fictional story thrown in every now and then. I also read other titles to both of my daughters when we finish our book-club books. If I’m lucky, I squeeze in a little reading time between all my other due dates to read something just for me.
Here’s where I list everything I’m currently reading. I don’t review everything I read, but you can usually expect to see my opinions of the mother-daughter book club books as well as others I read solely for review. If you would like to recommend a title for me to read or if you would like to suggest I add something to the suggested reading list, please contact me at info@motherdaughterbookclub.com. Thanks. – Cindy Hudson

I’m reading The Poe Shadow by Matthew Pearl just for fun. It’s been on my to-read list for some time, as I’m intrigued by the true-life mystery surrounding Edgar Allan Poe’s demise.

Madeleine and I finished reading Empire by Gore Vidal and we’re about to dive into Hollywood. It’s the next title up in his U.S. history series, behind Burr, Lincoln, 1876 and Empire. We’re trying to get through this one and the last in the series, Washington, D.C. before she starts college in September.

I’m reading Dear Big V for review. It’s due out September 1, so stay tuned for more details.
